Yes… Deck Size matters!!!!
Ok, Where do you start?
So buying your first deck seems quite daunting, Skateboard decks come in many shapes and sizes. Depending on the style you ride, Street, Vert or even just cruz on a Long board. All these factors play a role in what type of board to buy. It can even be down to something as simple as your shoe size, weigh & even your height. But don’t worry we’ve got you!! With these simple hints It should make your decision on buying your first board easier…. Your height normally plays a big part on the size of board your buy, with taller people choosing a wider board and some one on the shorter side or with a thinner build would go for a smaller board as this will help with increased stability…. Also your shoe size plays a slight factor. If your on the larger footed world, you would choose a wider board, but this is not always the case as this is down to each individual style and ability….. confusing right!!! Ok! So we would recommend beginners use 8” - 8.5” and again this now depending if your skating street or vert bowls etc! However if you have good pop & transition, we think you’d be good to use a 7.5” - 8” making it easier to manoeuvre and gain confidence with your transition and landing.
